A TeleRemote Video/Control Substation (TVCS) has
been developed by Ttech to control multiple rockbreakers, load haul dump machines and
automated haulage systems. It utilizes Berlet Instacon 12-K series wireless telemetry
control for complete remote control, including retrieving ore from hazardous locations.
At a
remote-control mine, the operators control station is a multi-function platform that
can control different types of equipment. The operator sits in a comfortable control chair
with proportional joysticks that are programmed for the job at hand. Nineteen-inch color
monitors and audio feedback provide a superb experience of the operating arena. The
control station can interface to fiber optic systems, leaky feeder systems, radio links
and coaxial cable. Many variations are available to suit your needs.
The
TeleRemote Video/Control Substation (TVCS) is mounted in the work area and is connected to
the operators control station. Using high-freqency radio links by Berlet, it relays
and receives video and control signals. The equipment may move up to 1,000 feet (300
meters) from the TVCS in either direction.
Multiple
TVCSs can be mounted as cells in the drift to provide extended range and control around
corners. The control station takes care of the cellular switching. The TVCS is easy to
mount and move to new locations.
